Nigeria Customs PR Officers Dominate NCCSC Graduation, Clinch Top Two Honours

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Public Relations Unit has recorded an outstanding academic feat as two of its officers emerged as the Overall Best and Second Best Graduating Students at the Nigeria Customs Service Command and Staff College (NCCSC), Gwagwalada.

At the graduation ceremony of Senior Course 14, held on Friday, June 26, 2026, Chief Superintendent of Customs Ridwan Yusuf was named the Overall Best Graduating Student, clinching three additional awards in recognition of his exceptional performance. Chief Superintendent of Customs Nuruddeen Sa’idu followed closely as the Second Best Graduating Student, completing a remarkable sweep of the top honours by officers from the NCS Public Relations Unit.

The achievement underscores the intellectual capacity, professionalism and leadership qualities within the Service’s Public Relations cadre, reinforcing its reputation as a hub of strategic communication and administrative excellence.

Their stellar performance also reflects the high standards of training and commitment to excellence fostered by the Nigeria Customs Service.

With tradition suggesting that top-performing graduates are often retained as Directing Staff at the College, the duo may soon take on the responsibility of mentoring future leaders of the Service. While their likely transition represents a well-deserved career advancement, it also marks the anticipated departure of two exceptional officers whose contributions to the Public Relations Unit will be greatly missed.

Their success stands as an inspiration to officers across the Service and further cements the NCS Public Relations Unit’s reputation for producing distinguished professionals and leaders.
