APC Unveils 2027 Election Timetable, Fixes Presidential Nomination Form at ₦100m
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released its official timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 General Elections, setting the cost of its presidential expression of interest and nomination forms at ₦100 million.
In a statement issued on Monday in Abuja, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, said the schedule was approved and signed by the National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Argungu.
According to the timetable, governorship aspirants will pay ₦50 million, while aspirants for the Senate are to purchase forms at ₦20 million. Those seeking seats in the House of Representatives will pay ₦10 million, while State House of Assembly aspirants are expected to pay ₦6 million.
The party also introduced concessions for inclusivity, stating that female aspirants, youths, and persons living with disabilities will only pay for the expression of interest forms and 50 per cent of the nomination fees.
The schedule indicates that the notice of election to state chapters took effect from April 20, 2026, marking the commencement of the party’s internal electoral process. Sale of nomination forms is slated for April 25 to May 2, while submission of completed forms and accompanying documents will close on May 4.


Screening of aspirants across all categories—including presidential, governorship, National Assembly, and State Houses of Assembly—will hold from May 6 to May 8, with presidential aspirants scheduled for a dedicated screening on May 9. The publication of screening results is fixed for May 11.
Appeals arising from the screening exercise will be heard between May 12 and May 13.
The party’s primary elections will begin with the presidential primary on May 15 and 16. This will be followed by House of Representatives primaries on May 18, Senate primaries on May 20, State House of Assembly primaries on May 21, and governorship primaries on May 23.

The timetable also provides for post-primary appeals, with presidential appeals scheduled for May 18, while appeals for other categories will continue through May 25.
Morka reaffirmed the party’s commitment to conducting transparent and credible primaries, noting that the schedule underscores the APC’s resolve to strengthen internal democracy and ensure fairness and equal opportunity for all aspirants.
