Tinubu Congratulates Adeleke, Calls for Unity After Osun Re-Election Victory

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on his re-election, describing the outcome of the just-concluded governorship election as a reaffirmation of the people’s confidence in his leadership.
Tinubu, who said he personally called Adeleke to congratulate him on his victory, urged the governor to use his renewed mandate to unite the people of Osun State and pursue policies that would promote growth, stability and socio-economic development.
In a statement, the President said Adeleke’s re-election was a reflection of the will of the people and an indication of the resilience of Nigeria’s democratic process.
He urged the governor to reach out to citizens across political divides, regardless of how they voted during the election.
“Now that he has won, Governor Adeleke must unite the people of Osun State and rally them for growth, stability, and social and economic progress, regardless of the political choices they made at the election,” Tinubu said.
The President also commended the other candidates who participated in the election, praising their courage and discipline in contributing to Nigeria’s democratic development.
He further applauded the Independent National Electoral Commission and the security agencies for conducting what he described as a peaceful and transparent election that produced a clear winner.
Tinubu expressed confidence that the outcome would further strengthen democratic governance in Nigeria, stressing the need for the country’s democratic institutions to continue to mature.
He wished Governor Adeleke success as he prepares to serve another four-year term and called for continued efforts to deepen democracy and promote national development.
