The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, received the newly appointed Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO) of the Nigeria Police Force, Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Benjamin Hundeyin, at its headquarters in Abuja, in a move aimed at strengthening inter-agency collaboration in strategic communications and public engagement.
Welcoming the Police spokesperson, NCS National Public Relations Officer, Assistant Comptroller Abdullahi Maiwada, commended CSP Hundeyin’s humility and sense of duty, while assuring him of the Service’s support.
Drawing from his own experience, Maiwada urged him to build a committed team, leverage youthful energy, and uphold professionalism, particularly in times of crisis.
“Public relations is a learning curve… teamwork remains the driving force for success,” Maiwada advised, stressing that the true measure of the role lies in the legacy left behind.
In his remarks, CSP Hundeyin described the visit as symbolic gesture of partnership, noting that security communication cannot succeed in isolation. He called for deeper collaboration between both institutions to advance collective national goals.
The visit ended with a tour of the Public Relations Sub-unit and the Nigeria Customs Broadcasting Network (NCBN), where Hundeyin was briefed on NCS’s expanding communication infrastructure.
