₦76bn Milestone: Port Harcourt Customs Makes History in October

The Port Harcourt II Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has recorded its highest ever monthly revenue collection, generating ₦76.07 billion in October 2025.
The milestone reflects the Command’s most successful month to date and highlights the impact of strengthened enforcement, improved trade facilitation and enhanced stakeholder collaboration.

Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Aliyu M. Alkali, attributed the remarkable performance to deliberate engagements with importers, licensed agents and unit heads, combined with value-driven operational reforms aimed at boosting compliance and enabling legitimate trade.
He noted that the Command’s strategic redeployment of officers based on operational needs also contributed significantly to the efficiency gains and improved revenue output.

Alkali commended officers, stakeholders and port users for their patriotism, cooperation and commitment to national economic development, urging them to sustain the pace.
“This milestone is a testament to what teamwork, synergy and dedication to national interest can achieve. We will continue to strengthen our systems to sustain this momentum,” he said.
