The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) have reaffirmed their commitment to enhanced inter-agency collaboration following a courtesy visit by the newly appointed Tincan Commander to the Kirikiri Lighter Terminal (KLT) Command.
The visit underscored ongoing efforts to strengthen operational synergy between both agencies, particularly in the areas of intelligence sharing, border security, and the fight against illicit drug trafficking and smuggling activities within the port corridor.
Speaking during the engagement, officials emphasized the importance of sustained cooperation in safeguarding Nigeria’s maritime gateways, noting that coordinated enforcement remains critical to national security and trade facilitation.
The renewed alliance is expected to boost joint operations and reinforce the agencies’ shared mandate of protecting the nation’s borders while ensuring lawful trade practices.
