KLT Command Honours ACG E.J. Edelduok as She Takes Up Higher National Role

The Kirikiri Lighter Terminal (KLT) Command of the Nigeria Customs Service on Monday, 1 December 2025, hosted a colourful send-forth ceremony in honour of Assistant Comptroller General of Customs, E.J. Edelduok, following her elevation to the management team of the Service.
The event, held at the Command, attracted senior Customs officers, representatives of sister agencies, maritime industry stakeholders, and well-wishers who gathered to celebrate a leader widely regarded for her transformative impact.
In her welcome address, Deputy Comptroller Adedokun described ACG Edelduok as a disciplined administrator and thorough professional who leaves behind a legacy of improved operational efficiency and strengthened stakeholder engagement.
During her tenure as Customs Area Controller of KLT Command, Edelduok was credited with streamlining cargo clearance processes, deepening partnerships—especially within the oil and gas sector—and prioritising staff development and welfare.

Speakers who delivered goodwill messages extolled her leadership qualities, noting that her blend of firmness and empathy consistently yielded visible progress. They expressed confidence that the Service was gaining a visionary asset at the management level.
A citation presented in her honour outlined her distinguished career, marked by years of service across multiple strategic roles in the Nigeria Customs Service.
In her response, ACG Edelduok expressed profound gratitude to the Comptroller-General of Customs and the management team for the confidence placed in her. She appreciated officers and stakeholders of KLT Command for their support, stressing that the Command’s achievements were products of teamwork, professionalism and shared dedication to national growth.

She reaffirmed her commitment to serve with diligence, integrity and passion in her new role, pledging to continue advancing the Service’s objectives and strengthening trade facilitation in line with global standards.
The ceremony featured the cutting of a send-forth cake, group photographs and an atmosphere of celebration as colleagues and stakeholders paid tribute to what many described as an exemplary and impactful career.
As ACG Edelduok proceeds to her new national assignment, the KLT Command expressed confidence that she will continue to excel and bring further pride to the Nigeria Customs Service.
