SIFAX Group has congratulated Oluyinka Onigbinde on his election as the new President of the Maritime Reporters Association of Nigeria (MARAN), describing his emergence as a testament to his professionalism, dedication, and longstanding contributions to maritime journalism.
The commendation was contained in a congratulatory letter signed by Taiwo Afolabi, Chairman of SIFAX Group, on behalf of the Board, Management, and Staff of the company.
In the letter, Afolabi noted that Onigbinde’s election reflected the confidence reposed in him by members of the association due to his years of impactful service to the maritime media sector and the wider maritime industry.
“Your emergence as President is proof of your professionalism, dedication, and consistent contributions to maritime journalism and the broader maritime industry over the years,” the letter stated.
Afolabi expressed optimism that MARAN would continue to uphold professionalism, ethical journalism, unity, and constructive engagement within the maritime sector under Onigbinde’s leadership.
He further stated that the new leadership would strengthen the media’s role as a strategic partner in the growth and development of Nigeria’s maritime industry.
As Patron of MARAN, Afolabi also assured the newly elected president of his continued support and goodwill while wishing him wisdom, strength, and success in steering the affairs of the association.
