SIFAX Group Backs Port Police, Pledges Stronger Collaboration on Lagos Port Security

SIFAX Group has pledged its full support to the Port Authority Police (Western) Command as part of efforts to strengthen security across the Lagos ports and ensure a safe environment for maritime and commercial activities.
The commitment was made by the Chairman of SIFAX Group, Dr. Taiwo Afolabi, during a courtesy visit by the newly appointed Commissioner of Police, Port Authority Police (Western) Command, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Iyabode Agbaminoja, to the company’s headquarters.
Dr. Afolabi подчеркed the need for collective responsibility among stakeholders within the nation’s port ecosystem, noting that effective security is essential to protecting lives and property, safeguarding critical port infrastructure and sustaining legitimate business operations.

He commended CP Agbaminoja for her track record across various maritime-related postings, describing her appointment as a reflection of the confidence reposed in her by the Nigeria Police Force.
“SIFAX Group has built a solid working relationship with CP Toyin Agbaminoja over the years, and we congratulate her on this well-deserved promotion,” Afolabi said. “Security thrives on collaboration, and our company has consistently partnered with security agencies nationwide. We will continue to support the Port Authority Police Command to ensure effective and sustainable port security.”
Earlier, CP Agbaminoja praised SIFAX Group for its significant contributions to the maritime and logistics industry, explaining that the visit was aimed at further strengthening cooperation between the Command and the company, given their shared commitment to maritime security.

The Commissioner of Police was accompanied by senior officers of the Command, including ACP Inusa Karyah (Operations), ACP Olufikayo Fawole (Administration), Area Commander Western Ports, Sunday Adeyeri, and the Command Public Relations Officer, ASP Isaac Hundeyin.
