SIFAX Group and its leadership team recorded a remarkable feat at the 2025 Marketing Edge Awards, clinching three top honours in recognition of their outstanding contributions to Nigeria’s business and communications landscape.
At the prestigious ceremony held at the Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, the conglomerate emerged as the Outstanding Indigenous Conglomerate of the Decade, while its Chairman, Dr. Taiwo Afolabi, was named Outstanding Maritime CEO Personality of the Decade.
The Group Head, Corporate Communications, Mr. Olumuyiwa Akande, also took home the Outstanding Corporate Communications Personality of the Decade award.
According to the organisers, the recognitions celebrate the company’s sustained impact on national economic growth through its diverse investments spanning maritime, aviation, logistics, haulage, oil and gas, and hospitality.
Publisher and CEO of Marketing Edge Publications Limited, Mr. John Ajayi, described the triple win as a “well-deserved honour for a conglomerate and its leaders who have continually redefined excellence in business leadership, innovation, and strategic communications.”

The 2025 Marketing Edge Awards, which coincided with the publication’s 22nd anniversary and the 13th edition of its National Marketing Stakeholders Summit, brought together industry leaders and innovators to celebrate excellence in marketing, branding, and corporate leadership across Nigeria.
