Human Rights Activists Hail Appointment of CSP Benjamin Hundeyin as Force PRO

The appointment of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Benjamin Hundeyin as the new Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Police Force Headquarters, Abuja, has been greeted with commendations from human rights activists across the country.

At a meeting held on September 7, 2025, in Abuja, the Chairman of Guard Time Information, Human Rights Activists Nationwide, Mr. Bibi Oduku, described Hundeyin as “a man of honour,” recalling their professional association during his time under former Force PRO, DCP Frank Mba.

Oduku expressed confidence that Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, would not regret placing Hundeyin in such a strategic position. He said the appointment reflects the IGP’s commitment to rebranding the Nigeria Police Force and aligning its operations with international best practices.
He further pledged the organization’s readiness to partner with the Police Public Relations Office in promoting human rights programmes and enhancing communication between the police and citizens.

Also speaking, Barrister (Mrs.) Alice Wowuota Iwara, Head of Women and Children Affairs, Abuja, lauded Hundeyin as a diligent and respected officer. She expressed optimism that his tenure would prioritize the safety and security of women and children, stressing their central role in societal progress.

“CSP Hundeyin has always shown integrity and commitment to service. We are confident he will continue to uphold the honour of the Nigeria Police Force,” she said.
