The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) and the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) have agreed to strengthen collaboration to enhance trade facilitation and ease of doing business in Nigeria.
This was the outcome of a courtesy visit by the NACCIMA National President and Chairman of the Organized Private Sector of Nigeria (OPSN), Engr. Jani Ibrahim, mni, OON, to the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, MFR, at Customs Headquarters, Abuja.
Engr. Ibrahim commended the Customs Service for its ongoing reforms and digital innovations, stressing that closer cooperation between the private sector and NCS would improve cross-border trade, cargo clearance, and competitiveness of Nigerian businesses under global trade frameworks.
In response, CGC Adeniyi assured that the Service remains committed to deploying technology-driven solutions and fostering stronger stakeholder engagement to deliver efficient, transparent, and business-friendly Customs operations.
Both sides pledged to establish a structured platform for continuous dialogue, aimed at sustaining reforms and addressing trade-related challenges in real time.
