Kano Police Arrest 10 Receivers of Stolen Motorcycles, Recover 7 Bikes

The Kano State Police Command has recorded a major breakthrough in its crackdown on motorcycle theft, arresting 10 receivers of stolen motorcycles and recovering seven stolen bikes.
The arrests followed the earlier apprehension of a notorious motorcycle thief, Dahiru Jibrin, on August 11, 2025.
Subsequent investigations by the Command’s Anti-Cyber Crime Unit, under the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), led to the recovery of the motorcycles, which have since been returned to their rightful owners.

Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, commended the officers involved for their professionalism and dedication. He reaffirmed the Command’s determination to dismantle criminal networks and safeguard lives and property across the state.

“The Command will continue to intensify operations aimed at bringing criminals to justice and preventing future crimes,” CP Bakori assured, while urging residents to support police efforts by providing timely information.

The Kano State Police Command also released emergency contact numbers for reporting suspicious activities: 08032419754, 08123821575, and 09029292926.
