IGP Egbetokun Pushes Tech-Driven Policing, Inspects New Intelligence Hub in Abuja

As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen intelligence-led policing in Nigeria, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP),
Kayode Egbetokun on Thursday inspected advanced intelligence installations at Idu Community in Abuja.

The visit, conducted alongside top police management officers including DIG Ben Nebeolisa Okolo (Force Intelligence), DIG Adebowale Williams (ICT), AIG Adeleke Taiwo (Operations), and CP Felix Obe (Federal Operations), formed part of the Nigeria Police Force’s strategic engagement with indigenous security experts.

Among them was EIB STRATOC, a homegrown security solutions provider collaborating with the Force to enhance the country’s internal security architecture.

Speaking during the inspection, the IGP stressed that intelligence gathering remains the foundation of effective policing in the 21st century. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to leveraging technology, innovation, and expertise both local and international to proactively counter emerging threats.

“The Nigeria Police under my leadership will continue to harness cutting-edge technology and strengthen partnerships to boost operational efficiency and deepen community trust,” IGP Egbetokun said.

The Police Chief commended the expertise of EIB STRATOC and urged other security experts and Nigerians to collaborate with security agencies in promoting technology-driven intelligence gathering, which he described as vital to securing lives and property nationwide.
