NAGAFF HQ Gets Facelift as Segun Musa Donates Furniture

There’s been a wave of positive change at the NAGAFF headquarters lately. This time, it’s thanks to Dr. Segun Musa, Deputy National President (Air Logistics), who recently donated 50 chairs and 15 tables to the secretariat.

It might sound simple, but it means a lot. With the number of young freight forwarders showing up daily, especially across the western zone like Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Ondo, and even Kogi, space has been tight, and this was something that needed to happen.

But Dr. Musa isn’t the only one stepping up, Chief Amuluonyenago Abateghete has taken full responsibility for renovating the two public toilets at the HQ. That upgrade is honestly long overdue. Meanwhile, the Deputy National President (Seaports) has offered to fuel and provide a part-time driver for one year for the ₦40 million bus recently donated by the NAGAFF President.

To keep the good vibes rolling, Princess Chi Eze is sponsoring an all-night appreciation party to thank the president and celebrate the new bus. That’s love.

All these efforts are adding up to something bigger. CRFFN already ranks NAGAFF as Nigeria’s most active and skilled freight-forwarding association, and with this momentum, it’s easy to see why.

Still, the journey isn’t over. The proposed ₦500 million national secretariat is a dream that hasn’t yet materialised. And honestly, it’s time. NAGAFF is calling on key agencies like NPA, NIMASA, NAFDAC, SON, the Nigerian Shippers’ Council and more to stop observing from the sidelines and start investing in real port development.

Dr. Clement Iwegbuna, the National Publicity Secretary, said it best:

“We’re not just part of the port system. We’re facilitators. We make things move. And we play a serious role in Customs revenue collection at the ports and borders.”

Looking back, the late Comptroller-General of Customs, Dikko Inde, helped ANLCA build both their national secretariat and their Onne zonal office. Sadly, when it was time to support NAGAFF, death got in the way.

Now, the hope is that the current CG will pick up where he left off and finish what was started and not do finish the race well.
