The Institute of Marine and Oceanography of Nigeria (IMION) has launched an Executive Blue Economy Training Programme, designed to equip professionals and key stakeholders with the knowledge and strategic skills required to harness the vast economic opportunities within Nigeria’s maritime and ocean sectors.
The Institute also announced the opening of its registration portal, inviting interested professionals, industry practitioners, policymakers and other stakeholders to enrol for the executive-level programme.
The training is expected to provide participants with practical insights into emerging trends, investment opportunities, policy development and sustainable management of Nigeria’s marine and ocean resources.
The programme further underscores the growing importance of the Blue Economy as a catalyst for economic diversification, job creation, investment and sustainable national development.
IMION said the initiative is aimed at strengthening professional capacity and promoting a deeper understanding of the strategic role of the maritime sector in driving economic growth.
With the launch of the programme and opening of the registration portal, the Institute is positioning the Executive Blue Economy Training as a platform for building a new generation of professionals capable of contributing meaningfully to Nigeria’s maritime transformation and Blue Economy ambitions.
