Okwara Declares 2027 Reps Bid, Picks APC Nomination Form

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prince Nixon Okwara, has formally declared his ambition to represent Oshodi-Isolo Constituency II in the House of Representatives, marking the start of his 2027 campaign.
Okwara picked up his Expression of Interest and Nomination Form at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja on Tuesday, in the company of party loyalists, community leaders, youth representatives, and business associates.

Though a first-time aspirant, Okwara is widely known within the constituency for his involvement in infrastructure development, grassroots engagement, and community advocacy initiatives.
Speaking with journalists shortly after obtaining the form, he described his decision to contest as a response to sustained calls from constituents seeking more impactful representation.
“This is a response to countless calls from artisans, traders, professionals, political leaders, women groups, youths, and students who are tired of representation without presence,” he said.
Declaring the start of his political journey, Okwara emphasised his deep-rooted connection to the constituency.
“The journey to the Federal House has started, and it starts with the people,” he stated.
“I have lived and worked in Oshodi-Isolo Constituency II all my life. I built my family here, ran my business here, and contributed to the development of this community. I understand the challenges, and I know what needs urgent attention.”
He further pledged to prioritise effective representation and legislative impact if elected.
“I am not going to Abuja to learn politics. I am going there to deliver results. I will take the concerns of our people to the floor of the House and work towards laws that directly improve their lives,” he added.
Okwara’s declaration is expected to intensify political activities in Oshodi-Isolo Constituency II as parties begin early positioning ahead of the 2027 general elections.
