President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has nominated Mr. Taiwo Oyedele for appointment as Minister of State for Finance and has formally conveyed his name to the Senate for confirmation in line with constitutional requirements.
Mr. Oyedele has served the nation with distinction as Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms, where he led a comprehensive overhaul of Nigeria’s tax system. His work has been marked by clarity of vision, courage in implementation, and technical competence in advancing fiscal reform.An accomplished economist, chartered accountant, and public policy expert.
According to the President ,Mr. Oyedele brings deep expertise that will further strengthen Nigeria’s fiscal architecture at a critical period in the country’s economic reform journey.
President Tinubu also revealed that Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite will continue to serve as Minister of State at the Ministry of Budget and National Planning. Her cross-sectoral experience and contributions across portfolios remain instrumental to the administration’s reform agenda and national development objectives.
