Badagry Chamber of Commerce Hails Akran’s Legacy of Peace and Economic Growth

The Badagry Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (BACCIMA) on Tuesday, described the late Akran of Badagry, Aholu Menu Toyi, as an advocate for peace, development and progress in Badagry.
The President of BACCIMA, Alhaji Idris Yahaya, said this in a condolence message to the royal family and people of Badagry kingdom on Tuesday, following the demise of Akran.
The late Akran died on Monday.
Yahaya described him as being more than a traditional ruler, but also a father, a custodian of culture, and a strong advocate for peace and economic progress in Badagry.

“His unwavering support for BACCIMA and the private sector reflected his deep belief in commerce, enterprise, and inclusive development as key drivers of community advancement.
“As grand patron of BACCIMA, his royal majesty consistently offered wise counsel, moral support, and royal blessings that strengthened the chamber’s vision and activities.
“His legacy of unity, dignity, and commitment to the growth of Badagry will remain indelible in our hearts and institutional memory,” he said.

He prayed for God to grant his soul eternal rest, and offer the royal family, traditional council, and the entire Badagry community, the fortitude to bear the loss.
“May his legacy continue to inspire us all,” he said.
