The Maritime Reporters Association of Nigeria (MARAN) has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Mrs. Helen Asu Beks, wife of the association’s former President, Elder Asu Beks. Mrs. Beks died on Thursday, 15 November 2025.
In a condolence message, MARAN described the news of her demise as shocking and deeply painful. The association extended heartfelt sympathy to Elder Beks, his children, and the entire Asu Beks family, praying that God grants them the strength, courage, and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Members of MARAN offered prayers for the repose of the soul of the departed, describing her as an “Amazon” whose memory will remain cherished. They prayed that the Almighty God grants her eternal rest and continues to uphold and protect the bereaved family.
“Take heart, sir,” the statement read. “We are comforted by the assurance that those who sleep in the Lord are not lost, but will rise again on the Resurrection Morning to part no more.”
MARAN reaffirmed its solidarity with Elder Beks, assuring him of the association’s continued prayers and support during this difficult period.
