The Principal Coordinator in Oshodi-Isolo LGA to Senator Idiat Adebule, Barrister kayode Success Ademiluyi popularly known as KSA has reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening grassroots political mobilisation within Lagos West Senatorial District, as the All Progressives Congress (APC) intensifies preparations ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking during the All Progressives Congress (APC) Local Government meeting in Isolo LCDA, Lagos, Barr. Kayode described the event as part of the party’s periodic efforts to review progress, strategise for upcoming polls, and sensitise members on the importance of voter registration and mobilisation.
“This programme is one of our regular local government meetings,” KSA explained. “We use it to evaluate what we’ve achieved, identify areas for improvement, and most importantly, encourage members to register and collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs). Politics is a game of numbers, and as the ruling party, we must continue to mobilise to maintain our lead.”
The legal practitioner and realtor noted that the initiative also targets new members and returning residents who may have misplaced, damaged, or need to transfer their PVCs.
Supporting Voter Registration
Barr. Kayode commended the Executive Chairman of Isolo LCDA for providing logistics support to facilitate voter registration but disclosed that his own campaign structure the KSA Team has gone a step further.
“My team has arranged free transportation across the LCDA and even in adjoining groups to help residents register for their PVCs without stress,” he said. “We’ve also mobilised INEC officials to visit workplaces where people can’t leave their jobs. That way, no one has an excuse not to register. If you don’t have your PVC, there’s no way you can vote.”
On Turnout and Party Strength
Responding to claims that turnout at the event was lower than usual, Kayode dismissed such reports, attributing the situation to short notice and the long gap since the last meeting.
“That’s not correct. We have even more members today than before — over 17 governors have defected to our party,” he noted. “The relatively lower turnout today is because the meeting notice was short and we haven’t had one for a while. Normally, we record thousands of attendees. By the next meeting, turnout will definitely increase after proper sensitisation.”
Political Ambition
Barr. Kayode also formally declared his intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat for Oshodi-Isolo Constituency II, expressing confidence that his efforts and popularity at the grassroots would secure victory.
“By the grace of God, I’m running for the House of Representatives in Oshodi-Isolo Constituency II,” he announced. “I’ve been working hard with my team, and with the continued support of my party and the people, I’m confident that we will win.”
As the APC ramps up voter engagement and internal coordination across Lagos, observers note that leaders like Barr. Kayode are playing a key role in deepening participation and sustaining momentum toward the next election cycle.
