Top Nigerian boxers set for GOtv Jam Festival

No fewer than 10 boxers will compete at GOtv Boxing Night 34: Jam Festival on Dec. 26, continuing the tradition of showcasing elite local ring talent.
 
The boxers have signed contracts for their bouts, marking a key step in preparations for the year-ending showpiece.
 
The signing confirmed the participation of leading fighters across five bouts, including a World Boxing Federation light heavyweight title clash.
 
There will also be a national super bantamweight title contest on the bill.
 
Those who completed contract formalities include Tobiloba “Smiling Assassin” Ijomoni and Sadiq “Happy Boy” Adeleke.
 
Others are Durotimi “Tiny” Agboola, Ezekiel “Touch” Seun, Faruk Taofeek, and Segun “Odi” Gbobaniyi.
 
Bamidele Johnson, Chief Operating Officer of Flykite Productions, said the exercise highlights the event’s commitment to professionalism in Nigerian boxing.
 
He said the process ensures transparency and organisation for both fighters and fans.
 
“We are maintaining standards that have made GOtv Boxing Night the country’s most consistent boxing platform,” he added.
 
Johnson noted that this edition, tagged Jam Festival, will feature boxing, music, and comedy.
 He said the mix has broadened the sport’s appeal and attracted new audiences.
 
Since debuting in 2014, GOtv Boxing Night has staged 33 editions and developed many top professionals, with bouts televised across Africa.
 The Jam Festival is set to close the year with thrilling fights and live entertainment.
