The Tunisia 2025 ITTF-Africa Table Tennis Championships have brought together the continent’s finest players, including debutants and seasoned veterans, in a celebration of talent and determination.
The prestigious event serves as a platform for competitors to test their skills, experience, and strength at one of Africa’s premier table tennis tournaments.
For many players, this marks their debut, and the excitement is unmistakable as they join Africa’s best in Tunis for the highly anticipated championship.
Congo Brazzaville’s Thomie Mossemba expressed delight at competing among the continent’s elite, describing it as a dream come true and a valuable learning opportunity.
“I’m here to learn from some of Africa’s best players, who are also among the best in the world.
“It’s an exciting opportunity to represent my country, gain valuable experience, and hopefully win some matches to make my nation proud,” she said.
Angola’s Kailane De Sousa, attending her third championship, described the tournament as another chance to showcase her country’s strength on the continental stage.
“There’s no doubt this is a gathering of Africa’s elite, and many of them are truly world-class.
“I hope to return home with medals and hopefully secure a place in the team heading to London in 2026,” she said.
Cameroon’s Enjema Moussa appeared the happiest player in Tunis, making his first international appearance after regional triumphs in Kinshasa.
“This is my first international tournament after our team’s gold at the regional championships in Kinshasa.
“I’m thrilled to meet stars like Hana Goda, Omar Assar, and Dina Meshref — though I’m sad Quadri Aruna isn’t here.
“I’ll leave with valuable experience and aim to win some matches for my country,” he said.
Ghana’s Ernest Quavcod reflected on his long journey to the continental stage, expressing deep gratitude for the opportunity to compete.
