The Federal Government has officially taken possession of the 130-hectare project site for the development of the Ijebu-Ode Inland Dry Port, marking a major milestone in its drive to enhance cargo distribution and regional trade efficiency.
At the official handover ceremony, the Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC), Dr. Akutah Pius, MON, joined the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy, Mr. Oloruntola Olufemi, who represented the Honourable Minister, His Excellency Adegboyega Oyetola, CON.

The site, strategically located along the Epe–Mojoda Expressway in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, is designed to serve as a logistics hub that will facilitate the seamless movement of cargoes to and from the hinterland.
When completed, the Ijebu-Ode Inland Dry Port is expected to transform Ogun State into a major industrial and commercial hub, while extending substantial economic benefits to neighbouring states across the South-West region.
