Nigeria Customs Sets October 2 for Recruitment Test, Divides Candidates into Batches

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced that the online recruitment test for shortlisted applicants into the Superintendent Cadre will hold on Thursday, October 2, 2025.
In a notice released via its official X handle on Monday, the Service said candidates have been grouped into three batches—A, B, and C—and must log in with their National Identification Number (NIN) through https://updates.customs.gov.ng  to confirm their batch, date, and time.
The NCS emphasized that strict compliance with the assigned schedule is mandatory, warning that failure to participate at the designated time will lead to immediate disqualification.

It further cautioned against the use of calculators or electronic devices during the exercise, adding that switching browser windows or multiple log-in attempts could result in blocked access to the test portal.
Applicants for the Inspectorate and Customs Assistant Cadres were advised not to log in yet, as their pre-test and online test timetables will be announced later.
The Service also outlined key guidelines for the Superintendent Cadre test:

1. Candidates must sign in 30 minutes before the exam for facial verification and to review instructions.
2. Assigned batches and times must be strictly followed.
3.  Late log-ins will not be tolerated.
4.  Calculators and electronic devices remain prohibited.
5. Switching between browser windows or indiscriminate log-ins could permanently block access.

The NCS noted that successful Superintendent Cadre applicants will undergo an additional Computer-Based Test (CBT) in a later stage of the recruitment exercise, which is part of an ongoing nationwide selection process to fill various positions within the Service.
